Trinity Trails

Being a former personal
trainer, my wife constantly challenges me to maintain
a healthy lifestyle. Along with eating right, we make
sure to run 3 or 4 miles each afternoon during the
week, while trying to incorporate some bike riding on
Saturday's. Fort Worth has a huge bike trail that
winds along the Trinity River and takes you all
through the city from downtown to the suburbs. Park
benches and ducks surround the well-kempt trail. It's
convenient and beautiful.
This morning, Jess and I took our bikes out to the Trinity Trails and rode for about an hour. A marathon was taking place so we got to encourage some of the runners while we rode and talked and just soaked in the beauty of God's creation. It was a pleasant ride and a needed break from our normal indoor workouts.
The map below shows the trails throughout the city, while the orange arrows bookend our path from this morning. Round trip, I think it was a little longer than 9 miles. Not sure though.

We won our first
Intramural Basketball game last Thursday night by one
point.
It was alot of fun to get out there and run around and just play some ball with our friends. Jess had double digit steals and a couple of baskets. Hopefully we'll be able to extend our winning streak to two games this week.

Intramural Basketball

Willie, Jess, our
church's worship leader, Jarryd, and myself are
playing in the intramural basketball league at the
Seminary starting this week. The draft for the rest
of our team is tonight and our first game will take
place on Thursday. I'll post a schedule once I have
it, as well as a weekly update to let you know
whether or not we're winning. Hopefully, Jess will
carry us to the playoffs!
